Kyle Walker may be in trouble following an incident that allegedly occurred around 5:30 PM (Portugal time) last Sunday at a bar in Manchester, a day after starting in Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle.
The British newspaper The Sun published CCTV footage on Wednesday that allegedly shows the player arriving drunk at the location, accompanied by a group of friends, before lowering his shorts and exposing his genitals, to the shock of everyone witnessing the ‘spectacle’.
The England international allegedly repeated the behavior moments later, this time approaching two women seated at a table, whom he made a point of greeting. This behavior could carry a prison sentence of up to two years.
However, the controversy doesn’t end there. This is because the right-back (who is married to Anne Walker and has four children) was also allegedly filmed dancing with another woman, openly touching her breasts.
An episode that has already been condemned by Teresa Parker, spokesperson for Women’s Aid, a support group dedicated to women: “Whether to provoke shock, laughter, or intimidation, those affected by indecent exposure can suffer long-term effects and trauma.”
“This can give the person exposing themselves a sense of power over the situation. And, if there are no repercussions, it will possibly give them the confidence to consider what they can get away with next time,” she added.
