The American, who won the national championship and the Cup with Benfica, is not part of the plans for next season.
American Kyra Holt, one of the leading figures in Portuguese volleyball in recent years, is packing her bags for Brazil, according to local press reports. The 30-year-old player has a practically finalized agreement to represent Sancor Vôlei Maringá in the 2026/2027 season.
The Paraná team, already planning for next season after being eliminated in the Superliga playoffs, thus secures a significant signing for the second half of the year.
Holt, who plays as an outside hitter, represented Benfica for the last two seasons, having joined the Eagles after a spell at FC Porto.
Trained in American college volleyball, the athlete also has experience playing in leagues in Puerto Rico, Spain, and Switzerland.
